Cronje & Yiannas Actuaries and Consultants Ltd, on behalf of its client, a fast-growing Digital Transformation Consulting company, is seeking to recruit a competent and detail-oriented System Analyst to join its high-calibre professional team in Nicosia.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysing systems and data, translating business requirements into clear technical specifications for web and mobile banking platforms
- Collaborating with vendors within an Agile environment (Azure DevOps) to deliver enhancements and new features
- Working closely with internal teams to define requirements, including specifications for new APIs
- Coordinating with external vendors and partners to support system integrations and project delivery
- Testing vendor implementations and internal APIs, identifying and tracking defects through to resolution
- Providing technical support for production issues, troubleshooting through system logs, and database analysis
- Executing SQL scripts to resolve data inconsistencies where required
- Escalating and managing issues with development teams to ensure timely resolution
- Supporting and maintaining the card authorisation middleware system between the payment switch and the core banking system
- Owning the system lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing, and ongoing support
- Working with ISO 8583 messaging standards for card transaction processing
- Maintaining a Java-based simulation tool for testing transaction flows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in a relevant field
- Relevant working experience
- Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement technology-driven improvements
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise information
- Proactive and adaptable, with a strong focus on delivering practical solutions
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively in fast-paced environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality of deliverables
