Cronje & Yiannas Actuaries and Consultants Ltd, on behalf of a client, a leading global accounting and consulting firm, seeks to recruit an experienced and capable Assistant Audit Manager to join their professional team in Nicosia.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements
- Acting as a point of contact for clients alongside the Audit Manager, supporting the resolution of inquiries and discussions of findings
- Supervising and guiding junior team members to ensure quality and timely delivery of work
- Reviewing selected audit workpapers to ensure compliance with standards and firm policies
- Assisting in the preparation of audit reports and contributing to the presentation of findings to management and clients
- Supporting the Audit Manager with technical research and helping resolve moderately complex issues
- Helping monitor audit timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure efficient engagement delivery
- Coaching and supporting the development of junior staff members
- Assisting in identifying potential risks and contributing to risk mitigation strategies
- Keeping up to date with auditing and financial reporting standards (ISAs and IFRSs) and providing technical input where required
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ACCA/ACA/CPA qualified, with a minimum of 5 years of total external audit experience
- Experience with Big 4, Top 10 firms, or in a comparable setting would be a strong advantage
- Experience with IFRS/IAS, Risk Management policies, the International Code of Ethics, and AML procedures
- Strong business acumen with high ethical standards
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, driven by a critical thinking mindset
- Dedication to delivering excellence in both professional and client service
- Team-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and mentor junior staff
- Solid organisational skills and keen attention to detail to excel in a dynamic work environment
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; expertise in auditing software (Caseware) is also required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and the Greek language
Remuneration
A very attractive and competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, based on qualifications and relevant experience, including:
